Albert Mountain Award

The King Albert I Memorial Foundation honours individuals and organisations who "have distinguished themselves through exceptional and sustained achievements related to the mountains of the world." The award has so far been presented 59 times to various figures from mountaineering, geography and geology, literature, photography, or high-altitude medicine.
